Bryan Adams High School hosted their 2nd annual open house on November 12  under Mr.Kastl’s command. This event is for the neighborhood to see the different organizations we have here at Bryan Adams.

The open house helps middle school students become aware of the different clubs/activities that they can join when they enter high school. Some of the groups that were present to represent BA included the art club, spanish club, key club, chess club, journalism, theatre arts, and tech theatre. Also, some of the  middle school cheerleaders and the BA Varsity choir performed in the auditorium to welcome the visitors of the open house.

The In-n-Out burger open drive was successful. Many students bought a ticket for 5 dollars, which included a burger, drink, and bag of chips. This fundraiser was originally planned for October 16, 2014 during lunch, however Coach Morrow had to reschedule it due to the fact that it couldn’t “compete” with the cafeteria food. The purpose of this fundraiser was to raise money for the senior class to help pay for some of the senior activities. Students enjoyed the delicious hamburger and hope that we can have more fundraisers like this.

The BA College fair started at 3:30 pm ( 8th period ) and ended at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. The representatives from the colleges had booklets that explained what their college offered to students and their acceptance requirements. The most popular colleges of the college fair included UT Austin and Texas A&M. The representatives answered students’ questions and were happy that students were interested in attending their college.

At the end of the day, we had a tenacious, reflective, and collaborative day here at BAHS on November 12th
