On September 22nd, 2016 at 8:00 pm, the tv show, Pitch, premiered on Fox. Pitch is about a young woman named Ginny Baker, played by Kylie Bunbury, who is a talented baseball pitcher. She gets an incredible opportunity to pitch for the San Diego Padres, which means becoming the first female in Major League Baseball.

The show is directed by 3 people, Paris Barclay, Kenneth Fink, and Regina King. I like how they use flashbacks throughout the show to help viewers understand how her father influenced her and her journey to get into the Major Leagues. The flashbacks are mostly of her and her dad and how close they were. It helps you feel more connected to the show because it makes you feel like you know Ginny on a personal level. They show her throwing her first baseball. From playing in the minor leagues to themajor leagues.

Ginny Baker has to prove to her male teammates that she's more than just a girl. They think she will date players and won't take it seriously. She soon gains their respect and they have her back in a game.
Ginny is a strong independent woman, and people who are feminist most likely will find this story interesting. It shows that you can do whatever you want even if you're a girl. Additionally, the series can encourage to take on men's sports teams more.
