This is the time for giving, and what better way to do that than to make cupcakes for the family. If you want  a great cupcake recipe you should use this one. When you go to the store you will need to buy these ingredients for the white cake: butter, shortening, sugar, eggs, all-purpose soft-wheat flour, backing powder, salt, buttermilk, vanilla extract, almond extract, paper baking cups, vegetable cooking spray, and a tube of marshmallow frosting. For the toppings you will need to get edible glitter, sugar snowflakes, and piping bags.

White cake recipe:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 1 cup shortening

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose soft-wheat flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

  • Paper baking cups

  • Vegetable cooking spray

  •

To prepare the White Cake, Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter and shortening at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in extracts.

Place the paper baking cups in the cupcake pan and spoon the batter into them 2/3 full. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks, and cool completely.

Once they are cooled then grab a piping bag and put the frosting inside to get ready to frost. After your done with putting the frosting in the bag then get some scissors to cut the tip, the tip will be cut at least 1inch.

Once your done piping the frosting on your cupcakes you will get the edible glitter and sprinkle it on your cupcakes and you give get the sugar snowflakes and put them how ever way you want to on the cupcake. Now you have your holiday “snow white cupcakes” for the family and you’re ready to tis the season of giving.
