On Wednesday October 27, all senior students participated in the Bryan Adams College Blitz. This allowed the 2017 class to sign up for Apply Texas which is an online website where students can apply to many Texas schools.

Simply by transferring their information to the schools they wish to go to. To start off their applications, they all had to apply to Eastfield Community College to see how the process worked. They also had the opportunity to apply for financial aid (FAFSA) or (TAFSA). This allowed students to sign up and hopefully be eligible to get money from the government. This money would help pay for college by giving them grants or loans depending on their parent/ guardians economic status.

Additionally, students had the opportunity to research scholarships that match their academic status on a website called Naviance. They took a survey/quiz to find their strengths and weaknesses. As a result they were given three of their strongest traits which included a list of careers that would fit their personality.

Lastly, they had to do one college essay on a topic they were given such as "If you were given one free ticket, where would you go? What would you do? What does it look like?" Ultimately, students were being guided through the rigorous college applying process.
