Bates Motel airs for the cable network A&E and it's a psychological horror show that first started airing March 18, 2013. It started off with Norma Bates (playing by Vera Farmiga) buying a motel after her husband’s death and tries to give her son Norman Bates (played by Freddie Highmore) a new life after his father's death. The show is based off the 1960 film Psycho. Bates Motel consists of 4 season with 10 episodes in each season. However, the sad thing is that season 5 will be the finale coming out February 20, 2017.

Norman is a very shy character in the beginning, but his mother Norma in which he shares a very close relationship with her helps him open up more. However, his bond with his mother created a serial killer. In season 4 his mother later finds out that he needs help and tries to get him help but he doesn't want it. Norman is also highly obsessed with Norma which leads him to getting jealous of anything and doing bad things that he doesn't intend to do. Norman also lives a double life in the show.

Bates Motel has a lot of suspense and mystery which makes me want to know what's going to happen because when you're watching the show you seriously don't know what Norman is capable of doing which leaves you wondering at times.  Also, all of the actors are very good it doesn't seem like if they're faking it.

I believe that Norma and Norman are very good actors in it and so are the rest. Some of the main characters are Norman's half-brother Dylan Massett (played by Max Thieriot), Sheriff Alex Romero (played by Nestor Carbonell), Emma Decody (played by Olivia Cooke), Bradley Martin (played by Nicola Peltz), and Norma's brother Caleb Calhoun (played by Kenny Johnson). All of those characters are very good actors in my opinion. So if you're looking for a dramatic, psychological, mystery show then this is the show for you and I highly recommend it!
