BA fell to Seagoville High School, 32-24 at Seagoville for the last non-district game on Thursday, September 10.

As usual the Cougars started of with a bang scoring first with a 59 yard pass from XaiyViyon Mccuin to Nathan Stewart with 5:56 left in the quarter. The Dragons scored on the following drive with a 48 yard rush by Je'Qualon Wright. Seagoville seemed to be committed to the power run game all night racking up 316 yards on the ground compared to 66 for BA.  As with the Celina game a week before the Cougar defense struggled trying to stop the run game.

In the second quarter the Cougars were shut out and their confidence was badly shaken. It didn’t help that some of the close calls by the officiating team went against BA. The defense gave up more points to Seagoville thanks to their star running back Wright who had a total of 166 yards on 19 carries for the night. As the game approached half time the Cougars looked like the fight had been taken out of them.

BA was back on track as the third quarter started. They stopped Seagoville from scoring several times and were able to punch it in themselves with a short 2 yard run by Keylhin Cheely. By the end of the quarter it was tied 16-16. It was crunch time for the Cougars.

As the final period started the Bryan Adams defense was unable to hold back the Dragons who tacked on two more touchdowns. Later in the fourth the Cougars were able to score one more final time on a pass from Mccuin to Jimmie Odie for 11 yards.

The loss puts BA at 1-2 going into a bye week. Next up the Cougars face the Newman Smith Trojans at Forester on Sept 24.
