Dual Credit

 Dual credit is an upcoming course that is making headlines at BA. Dual credit is a course that you can take your junior and senior year.

 

 

It is a college class that you can take with no charge in high school , and also earn college credit.  Dual credit was first introduced in 2014 and one of the first dual credit classes is phycology.

 

 “Because it was so disorganized I decided not to take it because I felt as if it was a waste of time,” said a senior at BA.

 

As it progressed classes like Reading, Psychology and English were added to help students who are willing to take them in order to save money. New classes like .

 

 “Now that these new classes were added it will be more useful for students.” Said a student at BA.

 

  In order to be accepted into this course you must pass the requirements which are   your STAAR. “Anyone can be accepted if they really work hard and are willing to be better and achieve,” Said a teacher. I think that that if you are wanting to go to college that this will benefit you. College classes are very expensive and dual credit makes it easier for students and parents.

Duel credit is a great opportunity that can benefit all student who are willing. Most school don’t have duel credit so this is something that is truly special. You should take advantage of this because when you get to college it won’t longer be free.
