The season came to an end as BA lost to Woodrow Wilson On November 7 at Franklin Stadium. The loss was do-or-die for a playoff berth and BA came out on the losing end while Woodrow advanced.

BA ended the season 4-6 overall and 3-4 in district.  The Cougars routed some opponents like Thomas Jefferson, Conrad, North Dallas and Roosevelt.  Problems arose with new comers to the district such as Carrolton Creekview and Newman Smith.

Even though the Cougars didn’t make the playoffs they had some individual stand outs. Joseph Broadnax had 11 sacks and earned Defensive MVP in District 11-5A. Nathan Stewart and Eddie Reese were first team wide receivers and Jimmy Odie was named second team line backer.

The Cougars were on highs and lows as they blew out some teams and had mistakes to beat themselves in others. This was the first time in three years the team didn’t make the playoffs. They were stopped by a heartbreaking loss to Woodrow. It will also be hard for some seniors to get scholarships as a result of not reaching the playoffs.

11.13.14

Quarterback Brandon Santana stiff arms a Woodrow Wilson defender to avoid the sack. Woodrow defeated BA 33 -14 and knocked the Cougars out of playoff contention.
