So far, 2015 has been a crazy and fantastic year for Lady gaga. Many amazing things have happened to her recently that have made her smile huge and made her little monsters appreciate her even more with all the great news she has had.

 

It all started off at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on February 8, 2015 when Gaga and Jazz legend Tony Bennett won a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. This is the 6th Grammy she has won since 2011 and Bennett’s 18th Grammy. That same night, they also got to perform on stage with title track song from their album “Cheek To Cheek”.

 

The week after the Grammys, Gaga’s life got full of happiness when her boyfriend and actor Taylor Kinney, proposed to her on Valentine’s Day after dating for almost four years, where they met on her music video for “You and I”. At first he gave her a Ring Pop for the engagement ring and immediately said yes, but later after gave her a custom ring with a diamond heart with the initials S and T. The engagement got so many likes on Facebook, making it her most liked post on the social media website!

 

After the “Good Romance” Gaga had, she was set to perform at the 87th Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars) on February 22, 2015. She told the interviewers on the red carpet that her performance will hopefully blow everyone’s minds for the special tribute she had for that night. That night when she performed, everyone in the audience were really surprised! Gaga performed a tribute to famous and talented actress Julie Andrews song for “Sound of Music” looking elegant like if she was a Disney princess and had some very powerful vocals no one has ever heard from her. She got a standing ovation after the performance and then a surprise from Julie Andrew by saying, “Dear Lady Gaga, thank you for that wonderful tribute. Oh my god. It really warmed my heart, it really did” after Gaga walked backstage. The day after the Oscars, everyone was talking about how great she was and very talented vocals she had that night. Her video for the performance went viral all over the internet making this huge for her in a very long time.

 

Three days later after the Oscars, Gaga revealed on Twitter that she will be joining the cast of the new season of the horror TV series American Horror Story: Hotel in October. This will be the very first time that she will have a big role as a main character since her cameo roles in movies like “Machete Kills” and “Sin City”. She will fit perfectly for the show from all the crazy and disturbing outfits she has worn in the past. Filming starts this summer for the new season.

 

Currently she is also writing new music for her new album and is also working with her old friend and producer RedOne, who produced all of her hits like Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, and haven’t worked together since her album “Born This Way in 2011. I think once her new album gets released, it will bring the old Gaga after her latest album ARTPOP, didn’t reach the charts as expected but was a very different and interesting than anything she has done.

 

I hope there will be something special later on in the year from Gaga. A new single, maybe? Everyone will have to wait and see  what happens in the rest of 2015.
