The loyal BA fans were unaccustomed to seeing their team trail but they kept the noise level high and filled the Culwell Center with energy.

Following the halftime intermission BA had to fight off a pretty good run by the Seguin girls. The Cougars from BA, however, held them off with two great performances by team leader Alexxus Gilbert (15 points) and defensive anchor Fabrianna Dixon (19 points). Although the ladies from BA lost the 4th quarter they found their life saver in the person of Jada Nixon. After missing two free throws she made up for it with a rebound over four Arlington Seguin players. Even with standouts like Gilbert and Dixon it was a team effort for the BA Lady Cougars that led to a happy ending and a trip to state.
