Most people try to hide their middle names but others just go with it. Middle names are used to give your identity a little more spark!

They are originated form English speaking countries. In the U.S. your middle name is often abbreviated, but in Europe a middle name would be considered a part of your first name.

Many celebrities and historical figures are known by their full name.

Lee Harvey Oswald, assassinated John F. Kennedy. Lee wouldn’t be known unless referred to his full name.

Jaime Lee Curtis also known as the original Scream Queen, starred in many movies. Her first movie was the original Halloween horror film, then later she did freaky Friday with Lindsey Lohan and True lies in 1994.

Middle names are not used in everyday life but used for the purpose of identity. They are usually given to honor someone significant in your parent’s life; a grandmother, brother, sister or even a hero.  They also give the child more flexibility on choosing what name they want to go by.

Many kids hate their middle names because they’re usually really embarrassing. They tried to hide them and keep them a giant secret.

Senior Pamela Enciso absolutely hates her middle name, Gregoria.

“It’s an unusual name but it’s unique.  It was my grandmother’s name so I’m honored. I just really hate when people call me Greg. ” said Pamela

Unlike Pamela, senior Samantha Morales likes her middle name, Evelin.

“At first I really didn’t like my middle name, but then I realized it actually wasn’t that bad so I love it now.” Said Samantha

Others like that they have very different middle names. They like that it’s very special or that no one’s ever heard of it before. These kind of middle names give people personality to their identity.

Senior Reyes Garcia middle name is Librado. This means “free” in the Latin language.

“Librado is my dad’s name, it’s different from everyone else and no one’s ever really heard of it. I think it’s really unique.” Said Reyes

The significance of middle names are to the upmost importance to some people but not all. To those who have them cherish them, they might have an important meaning or message behind them.
