Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1

Film leaves viewers wondering - What happens next?

Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I left me with a feeling of anticipation – for part 2. In the end, for me, there were a lot of unanswered questions. Would things return to the way they were in the first film, The Hunger Games? Will Peeta or Katniss die? I guess we’ll have to wait for the sequel.

 

There were some surprises like Katniss thinking Peeta was dead, when the whole time he was at the Capitol being controlled by the government. 

 

The movie was very well acted with plenty of action-packed scenes. Overall, I would rate it a 7/10.

 

The Mockingjay Part 1 is about Katniss, a teenage girl who becomes a leader of a rebellion against the government. As a symbol of rebellion she uses a Mocking Jay.  She rebels against the capitol when they destroy, burn down and ruin her district with all the people in it. Her quest in the story is to save her close friend, Peeta. At the end of the second movie, Katniss destroyed the arena they were in and everyone that was still alive was spilt up. Peeta was captured by the government and taken to the capitol but nobody had any idea where he was.

The characters are mostly the same ones that came out in the first and second movie. For example, Katniss, Peeta, Finnick, President Snow, Gale, Haymitch, Primrose and Effie.  The only actor that is playing a different role is Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. There are also some new cast members that play as parts of the government.

 

Part 2 of the Mockingjay will come out on November 20 of 2015. The first was nominated for 1 Golden Globe Award.

 

I would recommend watching it.
