Beyond The Lights

This inspiring movie tells the lifestyle and perspective of young artist finding themselves in the music industry and the struggles, as well as heartbreaks that a young pop star runs into dealing with fame. This movie can relate to some of the students at B.A.

This story is of a young talented artist, music's latest superstar, Noni Jean and the pressures of fame that have this superstar on the edge. While the superstar is dealing with a lot of pressure and the fame, she runs into a young cop, positioned to protect and guide her through her chaotic fame life, as well as an inspiring politician who is set to watch her every detail. This movie can also be criticized or compared to the 1992 classic movie know as "The Body Guard". When the pop star is at her lowest, the cop, Naz Nicol seems to understand her struggle and pain, and fall's fast and hard for her emotionally. Through their everyday spending time together, they start realizing how much they care and feel for each other, despite the protests and paparazzi of those around them who force or urge them to put their career/ambition in front of their romance. It's the cop, Kaz that really gives Noni, the hope, courage and reality of expressing and finding herself and her own voice in order for her to break free, and become the artist she always wanted to be.

The movie takes place in the big music cities New York and Los Angeles and explains that not all is what it seems, when finding love in a pop star. It is a romance of two totally different people running into each other in the music world, loving each other's struggles and heartaches. The most anticipated part in the movie is when they began to deal and invest in each other emotionally, and except each other for who they are.
