                                      Alexis Louis, 12

Raven Breaux has left her mark on Bryan Adams High School. Literally. Her latest work is a portrait of the schools mascot and Mrs. Shorter's profession created with water paints. Her illustration is used on the front of the Clinics door.

Mrs. Shorter ,the schools nurse, wanted a work of art to add color to the clinic but also display her certification of nursing. "I really didn't have a idea of what I wanted, nor did I know someone to do it." said Mrs. Shorter "So I asked Mr.Hess if I he had any suggestion." Mr.Hess recommended freshman Raven Breaux with no hesitations. "She is by far probably the most talented freshman student I've had in the past few years," says Mr. Hess. "She's just an amazing young lady and I know she's going to do great things in the world." With this notable recommendation Mrs. Short contacted Raven and told her the idea she had. With Mrs. Shorter lack of details, Raven practically created this paining from nothing.

"It took lot's of trial and error to get the perfect outcome. The entire piece took about 5 weeks to complete!" said Raven . "I had to visualize what Mrs. Shorter wanted and hope that my idea fit her needs."

Raven is driven to succeed and dreams of a life in the arts. "I've been drawing for 8 years." said Raven. She plans to continue making pieces like the one made for the clinic, and to paint more.

"With the skills Raven displayed theres no doubt Raven will be great in the future." say Mrs. Shorter.
